Starting my studies, I was a little overwhelmed by all the changes (leaving home for a kot, meeting new people...), but I very quickly found my feet at UNamur's Faculty of Computer Science.
The Faculty stands out for its family feel. The professors are approachable and know us personally. The group work organized right from the first year enables us to make contacts with other students very quickly.
Aside from the courses, the various student associations are also a great help. Between my participation in events organized by Cercle Info and my involvement in CSLabs (a start-up created by and for computer science students), I quickly felt in my element.
After my bachelor's degree, I naturally extended my studies with a master's degree in Software Engineering. I then started a PhD thesis in the same faculty. I then realized that the courses I had chosen as options during my master's degree were useful to me on a daily basis.
In 2023, I crossed the Channel to join the Department of Computer Science at King's College London, to work on a cutting-edge subject: quantum computing. Despite this, I continue to collaborate with my former colleagues and professors, while discovering this new subject.
Teaching at the Faculty of Computer Science has given me so much, and it's the people I've met there who have helped me to grow and develop.
