The aim of this course is twofold. On the one hand, this course is intended to provide students with a description of stars, galaxies and the Universe. On the other hand, it lays down the essential physical foundations of the internal structure and evolution of stars, emphasising the interactions with other fields of physics.
Internal structure of stars. Evolution of stars. Primordial nucleosynthesis. Stellar nucleosynthesis.
Oral examination in session
Stars and Stellar Evolution (K.S. De Boer, W. Seggewiss - EDP Sciences) Stellar Structure and Evolution (D. Prialnik - Cambridge University Press) Stellar Astrophysics ( W.K. Rose - Cambridge University Press) Nuclear Reactions for Astrophysics (I.J. Thompson & F.M. Nunes - Cambridge University Press)
