As Rector, she is the institution's legal and official representative. Director General, she also chairs the Rector's Council, the Academic Council, the Works Council, certain peripheral ASBLs and co-chairs the Pôle Académique de Namur.
Its functions
As the institution's official representative
- Signs all official documents (diplomas, contracts or agreements, etc.).
- Represents the university internally and externally.
- Guarantees alignment with the institution's Values.
- Negotiates with partners and public authorities.
As Managing Director
- Has authority over all members of the University Community, including students.
- Chairs the Works Council.
- Is the line manager of the Prevention Service (SerP) and Rectorate Services.
- Promotes the excellence and influence of the University of Namur.
As President of the Rector's Council, the Academic Council and certain peripheral non-profit organizations
- Supervises the execution of decisions made by the Board of Directors. In the event of an emergency, takes the necessary measures that fall within the remit of this Board and notifies it as soon as possible.
- Negotiates the implementation of projects approved by the Board of Directors with the Rectors of other Universities, at the Pôle Académique de Namur (PAN) or with the authorities.
- Co-presides over the PAN
