The course aims to provide student the means she should possess to develop a philosophical and critical thinking about the concepts built and used in the material sciences.
Course content varies from year to year. It is sometimes proposed a philosophical analysis of a scientific concept : matter, cause, space, time, phenomenon or force, for example. But it also happens that we submit to students an attempt to develop a natural ontology based on physical science.
Oral examination, with a half on a issue previously chosen by the student.
