This course aims to study the concept of infinity through ancient and medieval authors.
Infinity is a complex mathematical concept that took a long time to emerge in the history of thought. However, this concept has been studied since ancient times.
The course therefore offers a review of literature on the concepts of eternity and spatial infinity in order to understand the scope of the debates that took place from antiquity to the Renaissance.
The course is lecture-based.
The evaluation is oral and preceded by a period of preparation.
The lecture is based on a collection of texts.
