This course aims to study the concept of infinity through ancient and medieval authors.

Content

Infinity is a complex mathematical concept that took a long time to emerge in the history of thought. However, this concept has been studied since ancient times.


The course therefore offers a review of literature on the concepts of eternity and spatial infinity in order to understand the scope of the debates that took place from antiquity to the Renaissance.
