Learning outcomes

As part of the Competency-Based Approach, students will be trained in the following critical learnings.

Build their profession as physicists:
  • Recognize and value the contribution of their physics studies
  • Be critical of one's choices, multiply and cross-reference one's sources
  • Adopt ethical scientific behavior, including principles such as non-plagiarism, respecting the rules for citing sources

Experiment in physics:
  • Follow a written protocol
  • Use state-of-the-art equipment
  • Documenting
  • Communicate and transmit results
Communicate concepts, experimental results and their interpretation:

  • Apply the standards of written and oral scientific and oral communication

Goals

Understanding physical principles related to biological experiments and clinical context

Content

- Absorption and emission spectroscopy
- Plate reader, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry
- Western blot
- Microscopy
- Medical Imaging (CT, SPECT, PET)
- Nuclear magnetic resonance (spectroscopy and MRI)

+ POssibly seminars by invited speakers
