

Stéphanie Wattier
About
Biography
Stéphanie Wattier is a full-time professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Namur, where she teaches courses in constitutional law, civil liberties, and law, gender, and society. She is co-director of the Vulnerabilities and Societies Center (V&S) and Vice-President of the Transitions Institute.
Her research focuses primarily on fundamental rights, and she has specific expertise in "law and religions" as well as "law and gender."
She earned her doctorate in legal sciences from the Catholic University of Louvain in 2015. Her thesis focused on the public funding of religious denominations and non-denominational philosophical organizations (Bruylant, 2016).
