The integrated teaching unit (UEI) of block 3 puts the students in activity around the following disciplinary problems: 1. Development of an innovative offer (product or service) 2. A research project to study the perception or feasibility conditions of the selected innovation (via two data collections); 3. The rigorous management of this study project. Beyond these different disciplinary aspects, the UEI also aims at developing transversal skills. The integrated activity allows to come back to the collaborative work skills addressed in Block 1 and Block 2 while deepening them. As in Block 2, the emphasis remains on the writing techniques necessary for the production of a report in English and of a large scale (structure, bibliographical references, etc.) but also on presentation techniques (speaking in front of a large audience, group dynamics during the presentation, etc.).
The main objective of the UEI is to lead students to deal with a complex problem of management of an organisation by mobilising relevant analysis tools with the final aim of producing valid and useful conclusions for the members of the organisation. Students are required to present the results of the study in a report written entirely in English, which provides an opportunity to work on writing and language skills. The report also covers the different aspects of the management of their project and summarises any 'innovative' suggestions or recommendations made to the company they have analysed, forcing students to adopt an organised and structured approach and to reflect on the practical implications of their observations in the field. Finally, the IEU aims to develop the so-called "transversal" skills, linked to the functioning of the group as a team.
The UEI will mainly address the following aspects: • Innovation • Project management • Qualitative study • Quantitative study • Transversal skills
The exact content of the IEU will be communicated at the first "kick-off" session.
The evaluation methods will be specified at the first "kick-off" session.
