At the end of the internship, students will be able to:


  • Apply theoretical knowledge in a professional or research context.
  • Develop domain-specific skills related to their specialization.
  • Work independently and manage a long-term project.
  • Comply with institutional and professional rules and requirements.
  • Communicate results effectively, both in writing and orally.

Content

The internship is a full-time, unpaid placement in a university, research institute, or professional organization (in Belgium or abroad). Students are responsible for:


  • Identifying and defining their internship project.
  • Meeting administrative deadlines (UCLouvain/UNamur and host institution).
  • Carrying out a complete assignment (design, execution, reporting).

Assessment method

In two stages: the intermediate evaluation is based on a report written by the student and an evaluation using a grid, filled in by the course supervisor; the final evaluation consists of the analysis of the final report, the analysis of the final evaluation grid sent by the course supervisor to the course coordinator, the presentation by the trainee.
