To introduce aspiring scientists to the problems of development and to the ethical issues it raises.
Two thirds are given annually by an expert in one of the numerous aspects of this issue (global warming, resource depletion, water scarcity, geostrategic implications, technology transfer, the situation of third-world countries, economical globalization, theory of decreasing, etc.). The other third consists in a follow-up (by an assistant) of a critical reflexion on the theme presented.
The exercises sessions are an opportunity for students to write a report on a specific aspect of the problem with the help of an assistant.
It is a lecture-type course that requires the mastery of scientific knowledge and skills possessed by any bachelor in science.
The student proposes a critical reflexion on a choosen specific part of the problem to be presented orally.
