Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the future pharmacist should be able to:
- understand the indications and rational use of medicines, taking account of pathophysiological aspects and the specific features of the patient concerned (co-morbidities, co-medications, etc);
- situate the medicines prescribed for these indications within the therapeutic framework (medicinal and non-medicinal);
- understanding and correctly assessing the desired effects and the conditions for achieving them, as well as the adverse effects of the drugs in question and any other problems associated with pharmacotherapy (drug interactions, inadequate dosage, etc)
- communicate effectively with patients and nursing staff.
