At the end of this second internship, the immersant should be able to demonstrate significant progress in his or her project, identify clear avenues for development, and present a methodology for action that will also define the actions still to be undertaken.
The student is required to carry out initial data collection and to define the methodological framework for analyzing and evaluating possible alternative responses to the problem submitted. The student is expected to argue his or her methodological choices and define the stages of resolution he or she envisages, including (if applicable) proposing sampling methods, analyses and initial tests
The design internship takes place in the second quarter (Q2), following the same practical arrangements as the previous module, i.e. two days a week for a minimum total of 26 days. Its aim is to develop the solution design that will be put to the test during the third immersion course.
The assessment of this second internship (6 ECTS) is based on the writing of a twenty-page report and its presentation to a jury comprising the internship supervisor, the academic supervisor and the department head.
The student will present the state of progress of his/her project in relation to the question and analytical framework defined at the end of his/her first internship. They may report on developments in their question or analytical framework, but priority will be given to presenting the working method proposed by the immersant and the steps taken at this stage of the project.
The written report must be submitted to the jury members by the first day of the June session at the latest. It can also be submitted on webcampus (in pdf format).
