Learning outcomes

  • Obtain an overview of advanced technologies in the field of human-machine interaction
  • Know the theoretical fundamentals behind these technologies
  • Know technical tools that allow to apply these technologies
  • Develop an understanding of the past, present and future evolution of the field of human-machine interaction

Goals

The goal of this course is to give students an overview over a series of advanced technologies in the field of human-machine interaction: multimodal interfaces, tangible interfaces, augmented reality... For each topic, the theoretical fundamentals and techniques will be surveyed, as well as some tools that allow to create and explore each technology. At the end of the course, an overview over all topics will be presented.
