The master student will ba able to identify physiological variables allowing a functional assessment of an organ or a system. He will achieve knowledge about the available methods and the possibilities of adressing a research question.
The aim of this course is to acquire basic knowledge about up-to-date investigation techniques of the main vital functions of animals, in particular of laboratory animals.
The investigation methods will be condsidered after analysis of a medical disorder inducing the dysfunction of a system (ie respiratory system). After a short review of physiology, the methods of dysfunction assessment will be considered and discussed.
A critical analysis of a investigation technique in order to quantify a given dysfunction has to be performed by the candidate. A scientific publications in english will be the starting point for this work.
