At the end of this course, students should be able to understand the main statistical concepts of a scientific article

Goals

Knowledge in the biomedical field is constantly evolving through scientific research in which statistical data analysis is central. The objective of this course is to provide the student with the statistical concepts necessary to critically read the biomedical literature.

Teaching methods

The reference book presents the material to be learned. The course illustrates the important concepts. The course slides are available after the course. Regular work is expected from the student to be able to benefit from the explanations given in the course. Question and answer times are scheduled throughout the year during the theory course.

Assessment method

The assessment of this course is based on a written examination which takes place in session. The examination consists of multiple choice and/or open questions.
