Assistance with the payment of registration fees
Certain international students from outside the European Union (or those treated as such) who have been enrolled at UNamur for more than one year must pay tuition fees of €4,175, €2,505, or €5,010 (if they change degree programs or switch majors during the 2025–2026 academic year).
The International Students Commission (formerly known as the Foreign Students Commission) may grant, according to criteria it has established, full or partial financial assistance—either direct or conditional—to cover the tuition fees of students affected by these provisions.
The application form must be picked up at the Social Services Office between September 29 at the earliest and October 21 at the latest.
Financial assistance for the purchase of a computer
This program covers a portion of the costs associated with purchasing a computer (new or refurbished) for eligible students.
Contribution toward tuition and living expenses (excluding surcharges)
To obtain a residence permit to study in Belgium, all international students must provide proof of financial independence (for example, financial support from a guarantor or a blocked deposit in a bank guarantee).
However, if financial difficulties arise, the student may contact the Student Social Services Office:
- either by email: sse@unamur.be
- either by phone at 081/72 50 85
- or during office hours or by appointment
to explain their situation and, if they meet the eligibility requirements, obtain the financial assistance application form.
The "Exams" Special Allowance
The Social Services Office may grant a student who works regularly to cover all or part of their tuition costs a special “exam” allowance to enable them to focus more fully on their exam period.
The application form must be picked up at the Social Services Office between April 13 at the earliest and May 13 at the latest for the June exam session.
