At the end of this degree course in Pharmaceutical Sciences, the student will be able to effectively search for scientific information, use appropriate websites for health professionals and synthesise relevant data. On the basis of research and training organised by the BUMP (University of Namur Library), the student will learn to reference scientific articles in the form of a bibliography and an automated table of contents. This work will also allow the integration of the various scientific notions discovered and studied throughout the year in courses such as pharmaceutical analysis, pharmaceutical chemistry, physiology, pathology, pharmacology... After the submission of the work, the student will make a presentation in which he/she will orally present the essence of your work in French or English. Finally, he/she will also have to work in a team as this work is to be done in groups of 2.
The objective of the integrated theoretical work is the theoretical integration of concepts and the analysis of data as varied but complementary as those relating to pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis, biochemistry, pharmacology, general and human biochemistry, molecular biology, physiology and pathology
The theoretical work is carried out in groups of two students. It is based on a SPC (Summary of Product Characteristics) of a pharmaceutical product. It consists of the writing of a document of a few pages associated with an oral presentation (10 min) at the end of which some oral questions will be asked. Theoretical work is only available to students at the end of the cycle. A student is at the end of the cycle when his or her EAP includes the last teaching units (TUs) for which he or she must acquire credits in order to obtain the academic degree.
The theoretical work and the oral presentation are evaluated. The exact modalities of the assessment are subject to change when the examination timetable is being drawn up, depending on the practical constraints that the faculty administration may face, or in case of illness/force majeure/emergency with a placement, or because of the health situation related to the coronavirus.
