Content

This course will cover the major themes of evolutionary biology. This will include:

- The principles of natural selection

- Reconstructing phylogenies

- Mutation and genetic variation

- Migration, genetic drift, nonrandom mating

- Adaptation

- Sexual selection

- Evolution and human health

- Evolution and development

Assessment method

Students will be evaluated based on performance in written examinations, in-class exercises, and discussions.
