Research
Research is centered on the Unité de Recherche en Sciences de l'Éducation et de la Formation (URSEF). It constitutes a dynamic gathering of researchers within the Faculty of Education and Training Sciences (FaSEF). These researchers, who are also affiliated to the UNamur Institute for Research in Didactics and Education (IRDENa), are dedicated to a multi- and trans-disciplinary exploration of educational phenomena. Initial teacher training (FIE)
Learning, guiding, collaborating, helping future generations become agents of change... Being a teacher is exciting! In order to adapt to changes in the profession, training has been totally rethought.

Teaching kindergarten to secondary 3 (sections 1 to 3)
The Reform of Initial Teacher Training (RFIE) began in 2023. To become a teacher in sections 1 to 3 (from reception to secondary 3), students must now follow a 4-year course, organized by a high school (referent establishment) in co-graduation with one or more universities. The University of Namur co-organizes training courses with Hénallux (referent) and UCLouvain, as well as with IMEP for music teaching.
