The University of Namur is an institution rooted in academic excellence since its foundation in 1831. The Service Vie de la Communauté Universitaire (VéCU) at the University of Namur covers a variety of areas, including financial, psychological and medical support. The Cellule sociale offers financial aid and accompaniment to promote students' study conditions. The Cellule Médico-Psychologique (CMP) offers psychological or medical consultations, study/professional guidance consultations a specific support for students with special needs/disabilities (EBS-ESH). In collaboration with other university services, VéCU also contributes to the fight against harassment with the PHARE scheme and supports harm reduction initiatives in festive environments.

The Assemblée Générale des Étudiants de l'Université de Namur (AGE) coordinates student representation and activities on campus. It supports, informs and represents students, and offers them numerous services as well as extra-academic activities. Among these, the AGE notably oversees the biggest events, such as the Bal des Bleus, Saint-Nicolas or the Fête de l'Université and the Bal des Busés.

Many faculties and departments have set up an association to act as their interface for coordinating and organizing activities with their alumni. Others communicate directly with their alumni network. Whichever way you choose to organize your events, we'll keep you up to date!

Service-Learning is a pedagogical approach that aims to incorporate social commitment into traditional academic teaching. The aim for students is to participate in a project or get involved in an organization whose missions relate to societal themes, such as social justice, migration or the environment. In the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, higher education establishments and players gravitate around a number of structures, networks and alliances with the aim of guaranteeing a coherent and complementary educational offering and encouraging collaboration while respecting the autonomies of each and every one.
