Detailed program - Physics
The physics module consists of 11 hours of lectures and 5 hours of small-group exercises. The lecturesVector theoryVector magnitude: definition and representations (geometric and algebraic)Composition of vectors from their geometric representationAlgebraic representation of a vectorComposition of vectors from their algebraic representationUse of vectors in physics - Example of the translational equilibrium of a body subjected to several forces.KinematicsThe fundamental quantities of kinematicsThe position vector and the law of spacesThe velocity vector and the law of velocitiesThe acceleration vector and the law of accelerationsAnalysis of a few simple simple motionsUniform rectilinear motion - MRUUniformly accelerated rectilinear motion - MRUAThe falling des corpsComposition d'un MRU et d'un MRUAExercisesDynamicsObjectif - notion of force - measurement of a forceForcesUniversal gravitationWeightElastic forceFrictional forceLa Newton's 1st law (principle of inertia) and some applicationsNewton's 2nd lawMassApplications of Newton's 2nd law : satellite motion, motion on an inclined plane, parabolic flightNewton's 3rd law (action-reaction principle) and some applications.ElectrostaticsElectric chargeThe force between two point charges: Coulomb's dormouse and the electric fieldApplications: calculating the field produced by point chargesContinuous distribution of charges: field created by a straight, infinitely long, uniformly charged wire (use of the integral)The electric potentialThe scalar productThe work of a forceThe potential created by a point charge and the physical direction of the potentialThe exercisesThe exercises are carried out in small groups with the help of an assistant. They focus mainly on vector calculus and kinematics. These two subjects also provide an opportunity to review a few essential mathematical tools for tackling a physics course: trigonometry and the derivative.

Preparing for the 2025 medical entrance exam - Winter session
This session aims to review all scientific subjects: mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and to prepare for the "Communication and critical analysis of information" part. For each scientific discipline, a full syllabus is provided at the start of the session. For the second part, documents are available on the platform.

Preparing for the 2025 medical entrance exam - Summer session
This session is devoted exclusively to solving exercises in all disciplines based on the subjects included in the entrance exam program (including part 2). The courses are designed to reinforce mastery of the subjects, but above all to enable students to apply their knowledge to solving MCQs, in particular through a detailed analysis of question construction: structure of the statement, choice of distractors... The session includes a methodology session on MCQ exams.

Namur Research College (NARC)
The NARC was established by the Board of Trustees in 2012 with a dual aim:To provide an environment that enables a few outstanding young researchers to devote the bulk of their working time to research, while being spared administrative, logistical and other day-to-day burdens; To ensure the visibility of the best researchers both inside and outside the institution.Namur Research College Fellows are selected on their own merits, based on a series of rigorous criteria. Fellows' achievements are assessed by independent experts.
