How can I use my car less or better? It's possible to get around with several people in the same car. And not just for home-school or home-work journeys. It can also be done for one-off trips (concert, vacation departure, overnight trip to an airport, etc...).
Carpooling
As part of sustainable mobility, UNamur's Personnel department offers campus users access to a carpooling service (car-pooling). The service is provided free of charge to university employees through privileged access to the Carpool platform, which matches car-pooling offers and requests. To use it, simply register online with your university email address.

Car-sharing
Car-sharing consists in sharing cars between different "renters" (each of whom can, depending on the availability of the vehicles on offer, make a reservation for the period of their choice). The car-sharing operator present in Namur is Cambio and has a website on which you'll find all the practical details.
Cambio offers several stations in Namur. The four stations closest to the campus are:
- Boulevard Frère Orban, 3
- Namur Gare
- Avenue de Tabora, 2
- Place A. Wiertz in Salzinnes
Other trips
For other trips (business or private), the Carpool platform can also be used. It is possible to create a record for a one-off trip on Carpool.be linked to an event, a trip within Europe or to the airport.
