HR practices
The University received the label "HRS4R" in 2012 by the European Commission, meaning it is recognized as an institution implementing and following the Researcher's Code and Charter. More info here
- UNamur is committed to paying its employees a decent wage. Salaries follow scales that are public. More info here
- Structural teleworking: since the Covid 19 pandemic, teleworking has been implemented on a structural basis.
- UNamur has two unions representing and defending employees, the CNE and the SETCA.
Several action plans have been proposed. From 2021, the OTM-R action plan is integrated into the HRS4R action plan. Based on the Code for the Recruitment of Researchers, the OTM-R program aims to
- improve the information needed to establish good recruitment conditions;
- encourage institutions to develop and use egalitarian recruitment procedures;
- formalize the OTM-R policy through the actions presented in their HRS4R action plans.
Fight against discrimination
The UNamur has signed the Diversity Charter of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. It has also developed a gender plan and a gender policy to combat discrimination. More info here
The Medical and Psychological Centre (CMP)
The CMP organises health promotion activities for students. In particular, it offers free psychological consultations, help with stress management, a medical consultation, 'health and well-being' initiatives, support for students with special needs, meditation workshops, 'methodo' lunchtimes for EBS students, etc. More info here
Service d'Aide pour les Enfants et Familles de l'UNamur (Asbl SAPEFUN)
SAPEFUN offers several childcare solutions for staff members' children:
- the crèche "FUNny" approved by ONE (Office de la Naissance et de l'Enfance), which welcomes children aged 0 to 3.
- the "Club Temps Libre", ONE-approved after-school care and vacation center for children aged 2 1/2 to 8.
- Sick Child Home Care Service, accessible to children aged 0 to 12, which for the moment is at a standstill.
Sports policy
Sport is certainly a form of relaxation, but to be effective it must take place in a rigorous context. It should encourage spontaneity, physical development and mental and physical balance. Learn more
