The objective of the introductory course in archaeometry is to provide future heritage professionals with an overview of the methods of scientific analysis of archaeological remains and works of art, and to train them in the basic concepts and vocabulary of the various disciplines covered. It aims to enable archaeologists and art historians to collaborate with scientists in order to carry out relevant research, methodologically adapted to their subject and to the scientific questions, and with a view to optimal interpretation of the results.
