Goals

- Following on from the Latin I course, which was largely devoted to case syntax, deal with sentence syntax, particularly subordinate clauses. - Mobilise this new knowledge to apply it to analysis and translation exercises on unseen texts. - To train students to communicate their knowledge.

Content

- Sentence syntax: concepts of verbal/non-verbal sentences; coordination and subordination; concordances; modalities - Subordinate clauses: completive, relative, circumstantial - Text file, grammatical commentary supports - Exercise folder

Teaching methods

Alternate of : - ex cathedra course - exercises (analysis, version, theme) - student presentations - discussions and exchanges on the subject High volume of independent work: cursive reading and exercises.

Assessment method

Written evaluation on the theory itself + application exercises and version. Oral assessment on the cursive Continuous assessment (TJ)
