This course aims to apply on the field the main concepts of Geology, at the end of the Bachelor program. Special attention is given to mineralogy and petrology of magmatic and metamorphic rocks.
We follow three objectives:
- observation of magmatic and metamorphic rocks,
- integration of all concepts of Geology (from the Bachelor program) for a geological region (Vosges-Alsace),
- organize time and contacts with other students in order to finalize a report at the end of the trip.
8 days on the field (Vosges-Alsace).
Observation of outcrops during the day and organisation of the data with lecturers at the end of the day in order to propose a final report.
Report, at the end of the trip, including:
- geological history of the Vosges-Alsace area
- mapping of refined area.
All data provided on the field.
