Goals

The project (dissertation) is a final project in which the student combines the theoretical knowledge acquired in the Master's program specializing in management and economics of sustainable development, with field experience and expertise.

Content

In this project, students will choose between three tracks: “field”, “research” or “undertaking”. Within each of these tracks, students will seek to respond to a concrete sustainable development issue. This problem takes on either an operational aspect in partnership with an organization (“field” stream), a scientific aspect in partnership with a research center (“research” stream) or an entrepreneurial aspect where the student combines his or her own entrepreneurial project with an academic approach (“entrepreneurial” stream).

Teaching methods

The project (dissertation) draws on all the knowledge developed in the program. The course instructor in charge of project supervision accompanies students throughout the course. Individual meetings are organized with students.

Assessment method

The project (master thesis) will be defended by the student before a jury comprising :
- the course instructor in charge of project supervision
- one or more academics and/or professionals involved in sustainable development issues.
The jury decides on the student's grade, based on the written report and oral defense.
