Mentoring is a method of support, exchange and learning based on a relationship between an inexperienced doctor (the mentee or assistant) and an experienced doctor (the mentor).

Teaching methods

These are regular meetings. The mentor is an inspirational role model who does not position himself as an expert who holds the solution, but rather as the person who enables the mentee to initiate a process of reflection. Mentors pass on their experience. There is no hierarchical relationship. Themes and files are provided as support.

Assessment method

The intimacy and non-hierarchical nature of the mentor-mentee relationship makes it impossible for the mentor to carry out a conventional evaluation of the mentee.

The assessment will be based on :

- the mentee's commitment (presence, regularity, behaviour, communication)
-feedback from the mentee at each meeting (progress, subject covered, etc.).

Sloppy mentoring or mentoring carried out in an unserious or disrespectful manner will result in a points penalty. The faculty reserves the right to summon the student for an external evaluation of the mentoring.
