ISALA NOVA proposes a systemic approach based on collective intelligence, based on the observation that current plans too often target individuals rather than structures.

The project relies on "seed" groups made up of ambassadors from a variety of academic backgrounds. Their role is to co-construct inclusive practices within institutions, through workshops, discussions and analyses of specific needs.

We need to think together about solutions tailored to each establishment, understanding the specific issues at stake. That's why we want to anchor our approach around a study of women's needs within our institutions.

Thanks to funding of €127,500 over three years, the two partner universities will be able to strengthen their teams, organize events and measure the impact of the actions implemented. The aim is to model a methodology that can be transferred to other establishments.

UNamur's gender, diversity and inclusion policy

The University of Namur fights against gender discrimination by setting up the gender group in 2011, then in 2013 by creating a Vice-Rector in charge of developing this policy. Within Annick Castiaux's rectoral team, François-Xavier Fiévez, Vice-Rector, is in charge of Diversity and Gender. With its policy, gender, diversity and inclusion, the rectoral team intends to implement voluntary and reasoned projects in this field and firmly believes that human dignity is inviolable and must be protected.
