Content

The course is organized according to materials and operational sequences/techniques used in the production of archaeological artefacts and visual arts.

It successively covers:

  • Engraving

The course includes integrated exercises.

Teaching methods

The course combines theoretical lectures with observation exercises on ancient materials and techniques. It is further enriched by workshop visits that complement the sessions held at LASA.

Assessment method

Oral examination. The student is presented with a series of objects made from different materials and, drawing on both direct observation and the theoretical knowledge acquired, must identify the materials as well as the manufacturing techniques and operational sequence of production.
