Learning outcomes

At the end of the unit, the student will be able to • develop a rigorous comparative synthesis of scientific texts dealing with the same theme • to write these summaries and analyses adequately in relation to the expectations of scientific communication (conventions, textual construction, linguistic standard).

Goals

As a continuation of the French Practice I course, consolidate the analytical reading of literary texts, the readingunderstanding of scientific texts (by exercising a comparative synthesis approach) and the mastery of scientific writing.

Content

Analysis of dysfunctions in writing using the skills acquired in the "Practice of written French I" and "Normative Grammar" courses and rewriting exercises. Deepening of the analytical reading process (of scientific and literary texts) and writing exercises.

Assessment method

Several tests during the year. Written exam in the same form as the tests.
