The student will have carried out an internship of an equivalent duration of 10 days in a professional environment linked to the production or breeding of animals (livestock, pets, wild animals). He/she will have understood the functioning of the farm/animal breeding and will have described and analysed it in a report (zootechnical, ethical, sociological, economic, ethological, sanitary aspects, ...). He/she will have learnt the principles of restraint and handling of the animal species concerned by the course.
Understand the operating principles of a structure related to the production and/or breeding of animals.
Internship in a livestock farm, stud farm, zoo or animal park, animal shelter or slaughterhouse, ... . It is important that the student is actively involved (this is not an observation period). The location and content of the traineeship must be approved by the chairman of the admission panel.
Assessment by the local course supervisor and evaluation of the analysis report by the jury. The report serves as a basis for discussion with the jury
The assessment is organised according to the placement schedule, either at the end of the 1st , 2nd or 3rd term. The period will be determined by the student according to the progress of the placement.
Only one assessment is organised per course.
An internship only partially completed at the end of the academic year, or which has not been the subject of a report, or a report not accompanied by an assessment from the internship supervisor, will be graded 0/20.
