In the context of clinical practice in general medicine, students will be confronted with complex and sometimes urgent clinical situations, which they will have to resolve by taking into account the people around them and society at large. Geriatric aspects are also covered.
teaching will be based on active teaching methods, using the principle of simulation (a teaching technique designed to put the learner in a simulated situation as close as possible to his or her own practice, and to organise a debriefing of this situation in order to draw out the technical and human learning elements, in a spirit of benevolence and the right to make mistakes) and participation in small groups in themed seminars.
The simulation-based teaching used to support the topics covered will not be assessed. Nonetheless, a disrespectful attitude towards the lecturers and failure to respect a charter of good conduct will result in a penalty of points. This unit will be assessed on the basis of : - assignment(s) - a written case history - an MCQ.
