The call for proposals for the C2W Come to Wallonia | Connect with Wallonia project, supported by UMONS and UNamur, offers experienced researchers an exceptional opportunity to develop new skills and competences by implementing a research project of excellence with a strong interdisciplinary orientation. A Center for the support of sexual violence opens in Namur
The Centre Hospitalier Régional Sambre et Meuse (CHRSM), the police and the Public Prosecutor's Office of the judicial district of Namur inaugurated the Center for the Support of Sexual Violence (Centre de Prise en Charge des Violences Sexuelles - CPVS) in the presence of Mrs Sarah Schlitz, Secretary of State for Gender Equality, Equal Opportunities and Diversity. The center opened its doors on April 27. As a partner of the CPVS, UNamur actively supports this service!

A good first ranking for UNamur in THE Impact Ranking
<p>The Times Higher Education Impact Ranking (THE Impact) published its rankings last week and, for the first time, the University of Namur is included! The ranking assesses the impact of universities in relation to the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and UNamur immediately scores well, if not very well! Overall, UNamur ranks in the top half of the 1,591 universities whose rankings have been accepted. On a criterion concerning contribution to the ODD "Peace, Justice and Effective Institutions", it is even ranked in the top 200.</p>

Menstrual insecurity: actions on campus
"In the south of the country, 32% of women more or less regularly encounter financial difficulties when buying their menstrual protection", reported the newspaper La Libre in 2022, figures from the non-profit organisation Synergie Wallonie. Many women face menstrual insecurity, and students are no exception. For several months now, the UNamur community has been actively involved in the fight against menstrual insecurity. Some actions have taken place on campus in recent weeks.

A new platform dedicated to research in the humanities and social sciences (SHS) is being launched at UNamur. The aim? To offer SHS researchers methodological support tailored to their needs and strengthen SHS excellence at UNamur. This platform, SHS Impulse, will provide various services such as financial support for training, consultancy, access to resources, or co-financed software purchases.
