Karel Mertens is a renowned researcher who has done outstanding work in the field of macroeconomics. He is staying in Belgium for three months to take part in the activities of the International Francqui Chair organized by the Department of Economics of the UNamur, in collaboration with KU Leuven, UAntwerp, Ghent University, UCLouvain, and the National Bank of Belgium. September 1961. A few professors and about fifteen students are entering the Faculty of Economics, Social Sciences and Management at UNamur for the very first time. It was 60 years ago, in the house of Marmol, Rampart of the Virgin. Faced with the ecological crisis and soaring energy prices, the energy transition has become an undeniable emergency. A cyber-attack occurs every 39 seconds worldwide. And the commercial losses caused by cybercrime are estimated to exceed 5,000 billion dollars by 2024. At a time when the fight against this type of crime represents a fundamental challenge for society, the Master students in Management were challenged to find innovative solutions to raise awareness of cybersecurity among audiences identified as being vulnerable. It was a realistic and ambitious exercise, as the students had to work for a client: DNS Belgium, which administers the .be, .vlaanderen and .brussels domain names. How to recruit new young talents? This challenge is that of many companies, but it is now also that of the students of the master in management sciences of the Faculty of economics, social sciences and management of UNamur.
