QUALIblood, a spin-off for the medicine of tomorrow

One of the major concerns with the disease caused by Covid-19 is its severe course, which causes many problems that can lead to hospital overload. A new didactic pharmacy at the UNamur

Johan Barthelemy: from the Mathematics Department to Antarctica

"It's not Rocket Science" winners announced

Collyne Hérion and Clara Havelange, students in their first year of pharmacy, brilliantly won the "It's not Rocket Science" competition organised by the UNamur Department of modern languages during the Spring Science Week. They succeeded on the theme of osmosis. As part of the English course, the students had to popularise a scientific concept by making a video, in the manner of Jamy and Fred in the French television programme "C'est pas sorcier". "Daring to ask": the challenge for medical students to detect domestic violence

To raise the awareness of future doctors to the issue of domestic violence, particularly during pregnancy, which is a riskier situation: this is the programme of the next practical work on "professional communication in health" in the medical psychology course, taught to the UNamur 3rd year of bachelor’s degree in medicine students. This awareness-raising is done in the form of an escape game "Do you dare to ask the question", designed by two midwife teachers from the Hénallux paramedical department. This is a unique educational initiative and a first-time collaboration aimed at future doctors in Wallonia.
