What if our students became agents of change? That's the ambition launched by a team of motivated teachers in the Faculty of Economics, Social Sciences and Management. For five months, students will be challenged to propose a social innovation linked to one of the 17 sustainable development goals.

Medical certificate & Exam postponement In the event of illness during an examination period, you may refer to the Study Regulations:Article 43. Inability to take part in an assessment§1st. Any student registered for an assessment who is unable to take part must notify the examiner concerned and the vice-dean or his/her delegate no later than the day of the assessment, and comply with the provisions of article 44. Otherwise, a student's absence from an assessment will be sanctioned by a mark of 0/20.§2. To prove that a student is unable to take part in an assessment, he or she may present a medical certificate covering the period in question.§3. It is forbidden to take part in an assessment during the period covered by a medical certificate. The student who participates in an assessment despite a deficient state of health or serious personal problems, cannot under any circumstances have the result subsequently cancelled, even with a medical certificate or any other attestation. Organization

The department is organized through the Departmental Council, which brings together all the department's professors and research assistants.The management of Bachelor's and Master's programs is handled by the Program Managers. Among other things, they are responsible for validating annual student programs (PAE) as well as admissions.

Development economics: strong links between UNamur economists and Nobel Prize-winning economist James A. Robinson

It's a point of pride for UNamur: the Centre de Recherche en Économie du Développement (CRED) of the Institut DeFIPP at the University of Namur maintains close links between several of its researchers and James A. Robinson, recently awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics. Robinson, renowned for his groundbreaking work on institutions and economic development, has collaborated on several occasions with CRED members, strengthening academic exchanges and scientific advances in this field.

BENEVOL 2024 + IMPACT! day

What? BENEVOL on Thursday and Friday, November 21 and 22: the congress will bring together researchers working in software engineering, evolution, and maintenance. This year, we will have two keynotes: one by Prof. Andy Zaidman from TU Delft and one by Prof. Sonia Haiduc from Florida State University. IMPACT! day on November 20: as a PhD student and/or researcher, you can join us to learn to communicate what you bring to the table efficiently thanks to the tried and tested Value Proposition canvas and exchange with practitioners, who will expose the challenges they encounter daily. The IMPACT! day initiative is supported by the GRASCOMP doctoral school, and participants will receive a certificate.
