The botanical collections housed at the Moretus Plantin University Library are a treasure trove of delicate petals, leaves and corollas. They bear witness to Namur's long tradition of teaching this science. Help us preserve, enrich and bring them to life for future generations!

This collection of antiquarian books was entrusted to the UNamur library by the King Baudouin Foundation. It brings together over 670 editions from the presses of the great Renaissance printer Christophe Plantin (1520-1589).

The Eric Speeckaert Fund for the study of the works of Prince Charles-Joseph de Ligne, entrusted to UNamur by the King Baudouin Foundation, constitutes an exceptional collection of books, manuscripts and archival documents relating to the figure of Charles-Joseph de Ligne and collected by bookseller and bibliophile Eric Speeckaert.

In 2018, UNamur's Moretus Plantin University Library was entrusted with the collection of bibliophile and bookbinder Pierre Mouriau de Meulenacker. This collection of almost 400 volumes is consistent with the many works relating to Prince Charles-Joseph de Ligne already present at the BUMP.
