Content

The course will focus on the Southern Netherlands (Belgium) from the 16th to the 18th century. It will deal more particularly with cultural, social and economic aspects. For the part of F. Delleaux: Revolts, revolutions in Europe and North America in the modern era (16th-18th century). For the part of I. Parmentier: History of the environment, with a field visit to the Haugimont forest estate.

Assessment method

Oral or written examination. For F. Delleaux's course: questions on the course and on documents (written).

The recommended readings vary each year according to the topics covered. For F. Delleaux's course: readings will be recommended during the sessions.
