Goals

  • Untangle the complex links between school and society; 
  • Analyse current issues in schools by placing them in their historical context; 
  • Analyse social inequalities in schools, their origins and the educational approaches that can be developed to mitigate them; 
  • Consider schools as organisations, part of a specific institutional culture 
  • Identify the various actors in and around schools and classrooms, and analyse their roles and functions ; 
  • Use an eco-systemic analysis grid to understand certain social phenomena specific to school life. 
  • Consider one's socio-professional integration into the school system.
