Goals

Encourage students to think critically about issues of state and administrative law and to express their views in Dutch.

Content

- Introductory lesson

- Each student presents a topic of their choice (in Dutch). In recent years, the following themes have been presented: the monarchy, the Senate, freedom of expression, the cordon sanitaire, freedom of the press, migration, the electoral system, the political situation in the United States, Brexit, etc.

- The presentation of the topic is followed by a debate (in Dutch) in which all the students take part.

Assessment method

Continuous assessment is based on the following elements

- the subject proposed by the student

- participation in the debate (attendance and active participation are therefore important).
