An international team of researchers, including Professor Benoît Champagne from UNamur, has just published a paper in the prestigious journal "Accounts of Chemical Research" (ACS). They have demonstrated the role of dynamic fluctuations in the structure of molecules on their optical properties. This aspect of dynamics is innovative because previous studies were limited to rigid structures.

"La Salle des Pros", the new partner of education professionnals
The four UNamur continuing education centers specializing in the education sector have come together within "La Salle des Pros" to strengthen their collaborations, their cross-functional approach and their visibility. However, each center retains its autonomy and its faculty roots in order to preserve its specificities and maintain a close link with research and the initial training of teachers.

ReBOND : a helpful training fro students
After the January exams, some students have doubts about their choice of study. Some are demotivated and sometimes "drop out" of the course or the exam session. The studies chosen did not correspond to the initial idea. The ReBOND course (which literally means "bounce back") offers students the opportunity to use the second semester to rebuild their career plans and prepare for success next year.

Thomas Gunzig: "Novels enable us to browse through imagination”
Writer, scriptwriter, and teacher at La Cambre and the Saint-Luc School of Arts, Thomas Gunzig never ceases to communicate his passion for the power of the imagination, his faith in fiction as a place of freedom. In his radio columns on La Première as well as in his novels (from “Mort d'un parfait bilingue”, Prix Rossel 2001, to “Sang des bêtes”, 2022), he infuses his pen with a dark, often cynical humour, but never completely devoid of playfulness. Since Wednesday 22 March 2023, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde are on a Belgian state visit to South Africa. Annick Castiaux, UNamur rector, is part of the Belgian delegation accompanying this important trip. The objective is to deepen the relations between Belgium and South Africa, which is the second largest economy in Africa and plays a leading role on the continent.
