Elise Defreyne has a doctorate in law and is a researcher at CRIDS, within the “Media” unit. She is interested in developments in Belgian and European media law (media regulatory framework, pluralism, state aid and public service, advertising, right to be forgotten,...). In 2018, she defended a thesis on the Europeanization of Belgian public service media through state aid law.
She is pedagogical coordinator for the daytime baccalaureate and part of the law faculty's pedagogical cell. She is also responsible for the Projet Passeports pour le Bac at the Faculty of Law.
