The University of Namur is committed to the Euraxess initiative, which encourages researcher mobility and career development, while strengthening scientific collaboration between countries in Europe and around the world. The institution is also committed to the "HR Excellence in Research" process and recently joined the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA) with the main aim of maximizing the quality and impact of research.

The University of Namur is committed to the Euraxess program, which encourages the mobility of researchers and the development of their careers, while strengthening scientific collaboration between European countries and around the world.
The HR | Excellence in Research label
In order to retain the HR | Excellence in Research label, the University of Namur must prove that it is implementing "Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R)", a strategy to promote researcher mobility, and that it is applying the European Researcher's Charter and the Researcher's Recruitment Code. These actions will be complemented by an "Open, transparent, and Merit based Recruitment (OTM-R)" strategy set up by the European Commission in 2018. All these actions are carried out within the framework of the Euraxess program.
Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA)
Since September 2023, the University of Namur has strengthened its commitment to the implementation of a reform of research evaluation by signing the CoARA agreement. This signature commits the University to a series of principles with the aim of revising research evaluation criteria, notably by taking into account career diversity and emphasizing qualitative criteria over quantitative metrics.
