DeFiPP consolidates the research work carried out in three pre-existing centers, CRED, CEREFIM and CERPE, each of which represents one of the three main areas of research: development economics, public policy and regional economics and finance, and monetary economics. DeFiPP's main objective is to promote excellent research in economics and finance, with a high international profile, using economic methodology, both in theory and empirical research, which is the common link between the clusters. Cross-fertilization will take place through the joint sharing of new methods or approaches.

DeFIPP consolide les travaux de recherche menés dans trois centres préexistants, le CRED, le CEREFIM et le CERPE, qui représentent chacun l'un des trois grands axes de recherche : l'économie du développement, les politiques publiques et l'économie et la finance régionales, et l'économie monétaire. L'objectif principal de DeFiPP est de promouvoir une recherche d'excellence en économie et en finance, avec une forte visibilité internationale, tout en utilisant la méthodologie économique, à la fois en théorie et en recherche empirique, qui est le lien commun entre les pôles.

DeFiPP consolideert het onderzoekswerk dat wordt uitgevoerd in drie reeds bestaande centra, CRED, CEREFIM en CERPE, die elk een van de drie belangrijkste onderzoeksgebieden vertegenwoordigen: ontwikkelingseconomie, overheidsbeleid en regionale economie en financiën, en monetaire economie.

A trans-disciplinary space open to the outside world and designed to stimulate original research, ESPHIN addresses themes developed in its two founding departments: that of Philosophy in the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters and that of Sciences-Philosophies-Society in the Faculty of Science. In synergy with other entities, researchers are also aiming for the emergence of new themes in the major fields of philosophy.

Espace transdisciplinaire ouvert sur l’extérieur et destiné à susciter des recherches inédites, ESPHIN aborde des thématiques développées dans ses deux départements fondateurs : celui de Philosophie en Faculté de philosophie et lettres et celui de Sciences-Philosophies-Sociétés en Faculté des sciences. En synergie avec d’autres entités, les chercheurs visent également l’émergence de nouvelles thématiques dans les grands domaines de la philosophie.

Esphin is een transdisciplinaire ruimte die openstaat voor de buitenwereld en bedoeld is om nieuw onderzoek aan te moedigen. Het richt zich op thema's die ontwikkeld zijn in de twee stichtende departementen: dat van Filosofie in de Faculteit Wijsbegeerte en Letteren en dat van Wetenschappen-Filosofieën-Samenleving in de Faculteit Wetenschappen. In synergie met andere entiteiten streven onderzoekers ook naar het ontstaan van nieuwe thema's in de grote gebieden van de filosofie.

IRDENa is interested in education as an object of research. Its researchers examine the changes and innovations that are shaking up school and training systems, as well as the roles, identities and training arrangements of those involved in education.

IRDENa s’intéresse à l’éducation comme objet de recherche. Ses chercheurs s’interrogent sur les changements et les innovations qui bousculent les systèmes scolaires et de formation, ainsi que sur les rôles, les identités et les dispositifs de formation des acteurs de l’éducation. 

IRDENa is geïnteresseerd in onderwijs als onderwerp van onderzoek. De onderzoekers onderzoeken de veranderingen en innovaties die school- en opleidingssystemen op hun grondvesten doen schudden, evenals de rollen, identiteiten en opleidingsarrangementen van degenen die betrokken zijn bij onderwijs.

ILEE brings together expertise in fundamental and applied sciences, guaranteeing a significant contribution to a better understanding of the evolution of life and current and future environmental challenges, as well as the search for sustainable solutions, from ecological, technological, socio-economic and historical/cultural perspectives. In this context, ILEE studies the evolution of human populations, organisms, agro and ecosystems and is involved in the search for sustainable solutions, with ecological perspectives.

ILEE rassemble des compétences en sciences fondamentales et appliquées, garantissant une contribution significative à une meilleure compréhension de l'évolution de la vie et des défis environnementaux actuels et à venir ainsi que la recherche de solutions durables, du point de vue écologique, technologique, socio-économique et historique/culturel. Dans ce contexte, ILEE étudie l'évolution des populations humaines, des organismes, des agro et écosystèmes et s'implique dans la recherche de solutions durables, avec des perspectives écologiques. 

Het ILEE brengt expertise in fundamentele en toegepaste wetenschappen samen, waardoor het een belangrijke bijdrage levert aan een beter begrip van de evolutie van het leven en huidige en toekomstige uitdagingen op milieugebied, evenals het zoeken naar duurzame oplossingen, vanuit ecologisch, technologisch, sociaaleconomisch en historisch/cultureel perspectief. In deze context bestudeert ILEE de evolutie van menselijke populaties, organismen, agro- en ecosystemen en is het betrokken bij de zoektocht naar duurzame oplossingen, vanuit ecologisch perspectief.

At NADI, researchers provide innovative solutions to the new societal challenges posed by the digital revolution (eGov, eHealth, eServices, Big data, etc.). Coming from a variety of disciplines, researchers combine their expertise in IT, technology, ethics, law, management or sociology.

Au sein de NADI, les chercheurs apportent des soutions innovantes aux nouveaux défis sociétaux posés par la révolution digitale (eGov, eHealth, eServices, Big data, etc.). Issus de différentes disciplines, les chercheurs croisent leurs expertises en informatique, technologie, éthique, droit, management ou sociologie.

Bij NADI bieden onderzoekers innovatieve oplossingen voor de nieuwe maatschappelijke uitdagingen van de digitale revolutie (eGov, eHealth, eServices, Big data, enz.). De onderzoekers zijn afkomstig uit verschillende disciplines en combineren hun expertise op het gebied van IT, technologie, ethiek, recht, management en sociologie.

The naXys institute specializes in the analysis of complex systems, whether in astronomy and dynamic cosmology, mathematical biology, optimization in optics, economic complexity or the study of the stability and robustness of these systems.

L'institut naXys s'est spécialisé dans l'analyse des systèmes complexes, qu'il s'agisse d'astronomie et de cosmologie dynamique, de biologie mathématique, d'optimisation en optique, de complexité économique ou encore de l'étude de la stabilité et de la robustesse de ces systèmes.

Het naXys instituut is gespecialiseerd in de analyse van complexe systemen, of het nu gaat om astronomie en dynamische kosmologie, wiskundige biologie, optimalisatie in optica, economische complexiteit of de studie van de stabiliteit en robuustheid van deze systemen.

Bringing together linguists and literary scholars, UNamur's Institute of Language, Text and Transmediality provides a platform for interdisciplinary diachronic and synchronic research into the multiple ways in which different types of verbal and multimodal communicative practices manifest themselves in, give shape to, are regulated by and reflect culture and society.

Réunissant des linguistes et des littéraires, l'Institut du Langage, du Texte et de la Transmédialité de l'UNamur constitue une plate-forme pour la recherche interdisciplinaire diachronique et synchronique sur les multiples façons dont les différents types de pratiques communicatives verbales et multimodales se manifestent dans la culture et la société, leur donnent forme, sont régulées par elles et les reflètent.

Het Institute of Language, Text and Transmediality van UNamur, dat taalkundigen en literatuurwetenschappers samenbrengt, biedt een platform voor interdisciplinair diachroon en synchroon onderzoek naar de vele manieren waarop verschillende soorten verbale en multimodale communicatieve praktijken zich manifesteren in, vorm geven aan, gereguleerd worden door en een afspiegeling zijn van cultuur en maatschappij.

The NISM's research interests cover diverse topics in organic and physical chemistry, materials chemistry, surface science, solid state chemistry and physics, from both theoretical and experimental perspectives.

Les intérêts de recherche du NISM couvrent divers sujets dans le domaine de la chimie organique et physique, de la chimie des matériaux, de la science des surfaces, de la chimie du solide et de la physique, d'un point de vue théorique et expérimental.

NARILIS seeks to stimulate two-way interactions between basic researchers and physicians, and to build bridges between the laboratory and the patient's bedside. NARILIS therefore aims to facilitate the translation of basic research findings into clinical applications. Its mission is to promote multidisciplinary research in order to improve human and animal health and quality of life.

NARILIS cherche à stimuler les interactions bidirectionnelles entre les chercheurs fondamentaux et les médecins, et à établir des passerelles entre le laboratoire et le chevet du patient. NARILIS vise donc à faciliter la transposition des résultats de la recherche fondamentale en applications cliniques. Sa mission est de promouvoir la recherche multidisciplinaire afin d'améliorer la santé humaine et animale et la qualité de vie.

NARILIS wil tweerichtingsinteracties tussen fundamentele onderzoekers en artsen stimuleren en bruggen bouwen tussen het laboratorium en het bed van de patiënt. NARILIS wil daarom de vertaling van fundamentele onderzoeksresultaten naar klinische toepassingen vergemakkelijken. Haar missie is het bevorderen van multidisciplinair onderzoek om de gezondheid van mens en dier en de kwaliteit van leven te verbeteren.

The Patrimoines, Transmissions, Héritages (PaTHs) institute is a federation of research centers and groups that have emerged in and around the Faculty of Philosophy in recent years. Bringing together the researchers active in these groups should lead to fostering a diachronic approach to social and cultural phenomena in the broadest sense, and also to intensifying collaboration between "human sciences".

L’institut Patrimoines, Transmissions, Héritages (PaTHs) est une fédération de centres et de groupes de recherche qui ont vu le jour dans et autour de la Faculté de Philosophie depuis quelques années. Le rapprochement des chercheurs actifs dans ces groupes doit conduire à favoriser une approche diachronique des phénomènes sociaux et culturels au sens le plus large et aussi à intensifier la collaboration entre des « sciences humaines ».

Het instituut Patrimoines, Transmissions, Héritages (PaTHs) is een federatie van onderzoekscentra en -groepen die de afgelopen jaren in en rond de Faculteit Wijsbegeerte zijn ontstaan. Het samenbrengen van de onderzoekers die actief zijn in deze groepen moet leiden tot het bevorderen van een diachrone benadering van sociale en culturele fenomenen in de breedste zin van het woord, en ook de samenwerking tussen 'menswetenschappen' intensiveren.

The TRANSITIONS Institute aims to explore the different ways in which nature and human society undergo the processes, periods and impacts of transitions, with an emphasis on critically important areas such as the environment, economy, development, mobility, politics, education, justice and social cohesion. Thanks to these strengths, TRANSITIONS fosters interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary collaborative research.

L’Institut TRANSITIONS a pour but d’explorer les différentes façons dont la nature et la société humaine subissent les processus, périodes et impacts des transitions, en mettant l’emphase sur les domaines d’importance critique tels que l’environnement, l’économie, le développement, la mobilité, la politique, l’éducation, la justice et la cohésion sociale. Grâce à ces atouts, TRANSITIONS favorise des recherches collaboratives interdisciplinaires et transversales.

Het TRANSITIONS Instituut richt zich op het onderzoeken van de verschillende manieren waarop de menselijke natuur en samenleving de processen, periodes en impact van transities ondergaan, met de nadruk op kritisch belangrijke gebieden zoals milieu, economie, ontwikkeling, mobiliteit, politiek, onderwijs, rechtvaardigheid en sociale cohesie. Met deze sterke punten bevordert TRANSITIONS interdisciplinair en interdisciplinair onderzoek in samenwerking.
