e-Paysage is an IT platform centralizing information on the academic career of higher education students.

Description

This information relates to various topics such as:

  • Are you entitled to a study allowance or child benefit?
  • Are you financeable?
  • Have you obtained an equivalence decision for your high school diploma?
  • What is your academic background?
  • Does your employer wish to verify your diploma?

In a short while, data collected by the University of Namur and other higher education establishments in the French Community will be transmitted to ARES and shared with certain Belgian public services.

Objectives

  • Simplify administrative procedures,
  • Collect reliable information,
  • Inform the students concerned and facilitate the granting of certain social rights.

To achieve this, the collection and processing of this information respects strict IT security standards, the right to privacy and the framework set by the General Data Protection Regulation. In this respect, rights of access, rectification, limitation of processing and deletion concerning such data may be exercised with the ARES.

What's the difference?

Nothing changes for you, and you don't need to create an account. Every higher education establishment in the French Community, and the University of Namur in particular, has already sent ARES a series of details of your previous enrolments, in order to meet their legal obligations in this respect. In future, they will continue to do so in greater detail. As far as you are concerned, nothing needs to be done.

The identifier used for this information flow is:

  • your national register number,
  • failing which, a Banque Carrefour de la Sécurité Sociale identification bis register number will be created.

What information is collected?

This includes identifying data and academic information for students who:

  • are regularly enrolled and/or are attending teaching units in isolation;
  • have passed the entrance examination for medicine and dentistry;
  • are considered non-residents and/or young talents;
  • have applied to CEPERI for a study allowance, equivalence or appeal;
  • have committed fraud at enrolment and/or assessments and qualified as such.

What does e-Paysage actually do?

For the time being, the e-Paysage platform centralizes registrations and admissions for non-resident students wishing to enroll in restricted studies. Namely, for the University of Namur, bachelor's degrees in medicine and veterinary medicine. Ultimately, it will enable us to centralize diplomas, identify scholarship-holding status as soon as students enroll, and check students' ability to finance their studies. Other applications will be possible in the future.
