To register for the bachelor's degree in medicine, you must first pass the entrance and access exam. The procedure differs according to the student's status: resident or non-resident.
Entrance and access competitions
The competition is fee-based and payment is made online.
Please note: registrations will not be accepted if fees are paid after the close of registration. These fees are for the entrance exam only and do not cover university registration fees.

Once registered, the competition takes place at one and the same location for all candidates on the territory of the Brussels-Capital region.
Please note, online registration only concerns registration for the entrance competition. At the same time, you must register for the bachelor's degree at the university of your choice.
If you pass the competition
- Apply to the university of your choice (as declared when registering for the competition) by September 30 at the latest and provide the requested documents.
Please note that students of non-EU nationalities who are not assimilated to Belgian nationals must meet these two conditions:
- Have obtained a secondary school-leaving diploma within the last 3 years (i.e. by the end of the 2022-2023 academic year for admission in 2025-2026). This condition does not apply to staggered-schedule courses;
- Have obtained a minimum average of 13/20 or 65% in the high school diploma.
Non-Belgian diploma holders
Introduce a request for equivalence to the Equivalence Department of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles (FWB) before July 15.
.In the event of unsuccessful entry to the competition when an application has already been made
- Learn about the other courses offered by the University of Namur and don't hesitate to apply. To do so, contact the Enrolment Department, providing proof of having failed the medical entrance examination.
