Prerequisites
If you have a non-Belgian high school diploma, you must submit an application for equivalence of this diploma to the equivalence service of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation before July 15.
If you are a non-EU national, the commission's review of your application is subject to a non-refundable administrative fee (€200).

No admission requirements other than obtaining your degree equivalence are required. See the enrollment procedure.
Are you a student from outside the European Union?
Can you be considered equivalent to Belgian nationals?
If so, most of the conditions below do not apply. Please consult the required admission requirements available here.
However, you will need to provide proof of sufficient proficiency in French, either with the Test de Connaissance du Français (TCF – Level B2), the DALF (Level C1-C2), or the DELF (minimum Level B2) in order to enroll in:
- a bachelor's degree at the EMCP (Economics, Management, Communication, Political Science) faculty;
- the bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine;
- a bachelor's degree in computer science (daytime or evening schedule);
- the bachelor's degree in biological sciences;
- a bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences;
- a bachelor's degree in chemistry;
- a bachelor's degree in geography;
- a bachelor's degree in geological sciences.
- Bachelor's degree in Physics;
Are you a student from outside the European Union who is not considered a Belgian national?
You must meet the following conditions:
To enroll in a bachelor's degree program at the EMCP Faculty (Economics, Management, Communication, and Political Science)
- You must have obtained a high school diploma no more than three years prior to the year of application (i.e., no later than the end of the 2023-2024 academic year for admission in 2026-2027). This requirement does not apply to part-time programs.
- Have obtained a minimum average of 14/20 in your high school diploma.
- Provide proof of sufficient proficiency in French, either with the Test de Connaissance du Français (TCF – Level B2), the DALF (Level C1-C2), or the DELF (minimum Level B2).
- To enroll in economics and management courses with flexible hours, in addition to the above requirements, you must hold a higher education diploma and/or have at least 5 years of professional and/or personal experience (including a maximum of 2 years of higher education studies) that may be recognized by the admissions committee as equivalent to at least 60 credits of the bachelor's program.
To enroll in a bachelor's degree program in computer science, during the day or on a flexible schedule
- Have obtained a high school diploma no more than three years prior to the year of application (i.e., no later than the end of the 2023-2024 academic year for admission in 2026-2027).
- Have obtained a minimum average of 14/20 in your high school diploma.
- Provide proof of sufficient proficiency in French, either with the Test de Connaissance du Français (TCF – Level B2), the DALF (Level C1-C2), or the DELF (minimum Level B2).
For enrollment in Medicine

For enrollment in Veterinary Medicine

For all other bachelor's degree programs
- You must have obtained a high school diploma no more than three years prior to the year of application (i.e., no later than the end of the 2023-2024 academic year for admission in 2026-2027). This requirement does not apply to programs with staggered schedules.
- Have obtained a minimum average of 13/20 in your high school diploma.
- For enrollment in biomedical sciences, veterinary medicine, biological sciences, chemical sciences, physical sciences, geographical sciences, and geological sciences: Provide proof of sufficient proficiency in French, either with the Test de Connaissance du Français (TCF – Level B2), the DALF (Level C1-C2), or the DELF (minimum level B2).
When and how to register?
Registration begins each year in January of the previous academic year.
- If you need a student VISA, you must submit your complete registration application by March 31.
- If you do NOT need a student visa, you must submit your complete application by August 31 at the latest if you are a non-European citizen, and by September 30 at the latest if you are a European citizen.
Administrative fees
The commission's review of your file is subject to a flat fee of €200 for administrative costs. This is a prerequisite for the review of your application.
Please note: only one application per person is legally permitted. If you apply to multiple higher education institutions in the French Community of Belgium, you run the risk of having all your applications rejected.
